I'm a full-stack web developer with 6+ years of experience building and maintaining web applications. I currently study at UNSW, where I major in artificial intelligence as a full-time postgraduate student, on a track to graduate in mid-2025. My choice of course topics include AI, deep learning, machine learning, data service engineering, data mining, programming languages and compilers, database systems, and software construction. During this time, I'm leveraging my skills and experience as a software developer to engage in freelancing and teaching opportunities. To date, I have successfully contributed to the development of nine applications, five of which were undertaken as part of freelance and contract opportunities. I've also taught programming to a number of students (approx. 120 students) over the years, ranging from 6 year olds to mid 20's.
Throughout my career, I've taken lead of the development, deployment, and management of numerous web applications. My professional journey has primarily unfolded with small-sized teams affording me the opportunity to engage in the entire lifecycle of various development processes. This involvement includes planning, UI design, system design, prototyping, service implementation (both frontend and backend), monitoring, and management on servers. I'm clearly not proficient in all domains, and work better on some domains more than others.
The bulk of my professional software development experience prior to my enrolment at UNSW has been within the Node.js ecosystem where I've used tools such as TypeScript, Node.js, React Native, React.js, and Next.js to build applications. I also have adequate level of proficiency with other programming languages like Go, Python, and Java due to my personal interst in exploring various technologies, programming languages, and techniques in solving real-world problems. I continue to solve various kinds of problems in my personal time ranging from trivial to complex in various domains to stay sharp and competent in my profession.
